The Lantau ceiling fan comes with an included remote control. This control unit offers six fan speeds. The Lantau also features a reversing mode for changing the motion direction of the motor. This function allows for use all the year round. In the winter the fan blades force heat down from the ceiling and recirculate it throughout the room. This results in an even indoor temperature and eliminates any cold spots on the ground, therefore saving heating costs. In the summer it is recommendable to use this whisper quiet ceiling fan at nighttime in bedrooms to save costs for an air conditioning system.
